goodie_bags

Forgive the pun, but goodie bags are a good way to promote a company and create a positive impression of your business among your target audience. Whether they're given to members of the public, staff or people attending product launches, you should find them an effective tool in boosting your brand.

Here are some of the ways that goodie bags can be used.

Promote a new product/service - Launching new services and/or new products into your range is an exciting time for any business; however, it's important to make sure your publicity events showcase your new offerings and your company in the best light possible. After the event, you should hand out goodie bags to attendees. Making sure these bags are filled with fun promotional items relating to your campaign - as well as containing your business's contact details - should ensure people remember your brand and, if they have any queires, are able to get in touch.

To reward workers - Goodie bags could be used as part of a staff motivation scheme. You could, for example, award a goodie bag to your 'employee of the month'. Or you could just use them to thank staff for a job well done. Alternatively, you may wish to give out a goodie bag to a long-serving worker who is due to retire. This is a great way to thank them for their efforts over the years and should help ensure they leave with fond memories of your company.

So, what things can you put in goodie bags? The easy answer to that question is pretty much anything and everything! Of course, the particular items you select ought to be dictated by what industry you are in and your budget, among other things, but it's always worth including fun items people will be keen to receive. Sweets are one thing that springs to mind, though you may also want to put in small toys, games and pens.

As well as the contents of the goodie bags, it's worth giving some consideration to the actual bags themselves. Recipients will appreciate something they can easily carry around with them which is why drawstring bags are a popular choice.

Distributing drawstring goodie bags for a promotional campaign also enables you to advertise your brand long after the event is over. After recipients have gone home, they will still have an incredibly useful item that they can use time and time again.

Whether people use your bags to carry gym clothes in or for weekends away is, of course, up to them, but it's worth bearing in mind that they will be promoting your brand wherever they go or whatever they do with it. By having your company's logo, call to action and other marketing information incorporated into an eye-catching design on to the bags, your brand could be seen by thousands of potential customers.

You don't need me to tell you, but drawstring bags could not only help ensure your company's name stays firmly in the minds of your existing customer base, as well as advertise your brand to new customers who may have never otherwise heard of you.

If you're thinking of using promotional goodie bags in your company's marketing campaigns, please leave a comment and let us know.

I’ have a launch event coming up in May , a kidney awareness campaign.
I need goodie bags as gifts for staff but am out of ideas as to what extra things to put in. Currently I have – thirsts, company DVD , pens, bean sweets (shaped in kidney beans), stationary, …and that’s where I get stuck.

    Please advice.
    Many thanks
